A great deal of machine technology arrived in Australia in the 1970’s from a small region in Germany called the Saar. Both Christof and Helmut were born there and their grandfather, father and two uncles all worked there and as engineers designing and supporting mobile machines. Christof and Helmut’s conditioning in the heritage started early in their lives, listening to stories being told around the breakfast table and over barbeques.

Since then, both have studied engineering with machines in mind, both have gone through the processes of designing machines in the detail, and from blank pages. Engineering design processes have been developed, refurbishment and repair procedures have been worked out, executed and refined, research has been conducted on design processes, leadership of teams has grown to achieve delivery of complex design by teams distributed over continents and across cultures, and designs have been delivered through turn key projects run by Christof and Helmut.

The machine performs well throughout its life, when the design is informed by all of those processes and when design knowledge is applied throughout those processes with continuity.

Because of the breadth and depth of experience at the high levels of the organisation, SAAR 4324 is able to provide that knowledge and that continuity to your machine design project, be that for the design of a repair, for the design verification of another vendor’s design, or indeed for a ground-up design of a new machine.
